Vietnamese Dinner



Our fourth attempt at making vietnamese food was a success!. We made caramelized ginger chicken with red rice. The recipes were taken from this book. There are many more recipes we are excited to try! We will definitely be eating this meal again.

Ooh, I don't eat chicken but had caramelized mud fish in Tra Vinh,it was SOOOO good. Now I am hungry, and very "Saigon-sick" (like homesick but in reverse)

I recently bought this book myself. I think is quite lovely. The other book that I have recently acquired is Bobby Chinn's new cookbook - which also has both wonderful recipes and great stories.

A great cookbook is Quick and Easy Vietnamese by Nancie McDermott. Nancie Mcdermott is a cooking teacher. The recipes are great.

The carpet guys are here today and then the painters come for the last two rooms. We are going to Ottawa for March break. The week after, if all is good with you, I am coming to meet baby Noah and play with Owen if it is the last thing that I do.
