A Few Firsts

First photo of the four of us.

First bath

First time in the car seat (not so happy)

Owen holding & kissing Noah for the first time

Owen came to visit at the hospital on tuesday evening. It was difficult because he obviously wanted nothing to do with me or the baby. His world had been turned upside down in a matter of hours. He is adjusting to life as a big brother, but it is hard. He has started throwing things out of frustration & has started to hit us when he doesn't get his way. We are trying to stick with his routine, set boundaries, & give him as much attention as possible. It is hard, but he is getting better each day with the baby. We are hoping for some better days to come. The inappropriate behaviour was expected, I'm just hoping it doesn't last long.

congratulations again, what great pictures. I'm sure Owen will come around soon and see the benefits of being a big brother :)

I was at the mall today and had to hold myself back...Okadi has a T-Shirt in Owen's size for sale that says "hug monster". Reminded me of the way he doesn't ask to be picked up but asks for a hug. too cute.

Ange,
congratulations. The pictures are great. I think that I told you at Tasha's shower, but Rayna had a hard time adjusting to Aaliyah's arrival. It took her afew months to completely adjust and sometimes she'll still act out when Aaliyah is getting more attention than she is. Don't worry, Owen will adjust it just takes time.

Loving the story and the pictures of the wee one. Owen will get used to having Noah around and he'll figure out that you are still loving him too! And in the mean time, he'll keep asking for lots of hugs...

It is hard to share Mum and Dad. Zack used to scream at the top of his lungs, "NO-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o", everytime Emma or Chris come anywhere near me. Holding another baby was out of the question. Now he just pushes Emma and Chris away without the screaming. Zack let me hold Ben the other day without too much hysteria. It is progress. Owen just does not want to share you but he will soon see that there is more than enough love to go around. Noah is very sweet. I cannot wait to meet him.
